Family Friendly Fun-tastic Friday!

In an effort to keep myself blogging on a regular basis as well as practice my photography skills, I'm starting a weekly post dedicated to an upcoming kid-friendly or family event in the Prescott area. Whether or not my family and I participate or actually attend every event has yet to be determined, but I did want to spread the word, in case there were others out there looking for something festive to do over the upcoming summer weekends.

If C, Niko and I do venture out, I will be sure to post a detailed recap complete with pics. Hopefully, we'll all be able to discover some lesser known treasures right here in our little town, as well as promote some of the fun festivals and events that are going on this summer.

So, charge those camera batteries, bookmark this site and be sure to circle the dates on your calendar. I'm really looking forward to getting all of our lazy winterized butts away from the tele and out into this gorgeous Arizona sunshine.

This weekend we've got a lot of superfunstuff on the agenda, but the highlight for Niko is definitely going to be our trip to the Prescott Valley Raceway. He has no idea where we are going Saturday night, just that it's going to be a big surprise. C and I are just going to load him up in the truck and head out.

We've heard a lot of amazing things about the races at the fairgrounds, but never had the chance to visit. This Saturday will be our first glimpse of what all the fuss is really about. Cross your fingers our little tid bit of insider information gets us up close and personal with some of the drivers as well as a chance to take some great pics with all those cars!

If anyone else is interested in experiencing the roar of the engines and the smell of burning rubber, here's the scoop:
